Sister Organizations

ISET-International fosters equal collaboration between individuals and organizations in the North and the South. This collaboration is particularly close with our sister organizations, ISET-Nepal and ISET-Pakistan, who are independently registered non-profit organizations. They are recognized thought leaders in their own national contexts and play substantive roles in implementation, research and policy. As part of the ISET Network they link in-country issues and solutions to regional and global initiatives for responding to climate, urbanization and other social challenges.

ISET-Nepal was established in 2001 as a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization to study and analyze developmental issues of rapidly changing social and environmental context that demand new insights into the emerging challenges to manage resources for sustainable development.

ISET-Nepal is registered with the District Administration Office (CDO) and Social Welfare Council (SWC) of The Government of Nepal. It has dedicated its organizational focus to generate and disseminate knowledge on changing social and environmental context through research, publications, and engagement in public debates to address the emerging challenges.

ISET-Nepal's mission is to improve understanding and elevate the level of dialogue as civil society attempts to respond to natural resource and environmental challenges in a rapidly changing social and economic context. This is achieved by generating and disseminating new knowledge on a wide range of issues that affect both natural resources and general well being of the society. Research publication, and engagement in public debates are mediums to address the ever changing educational needs of managing social and environmental transition.

ISET-Pakistan was officialy registered as a non-profit organization in Pakistan in early 2014.
